This typeface is a high-contrast serif with crisp hairlines and weighty stems, creating a pronounced thick–thin rhythm. Serifs are bracketed and often flare into tapered, teardrop-like terminals, giving many strokes a sculpted, calligraphic finish rather than a purely mechanical cut. Curves are generous and slightly elastic, with round counters in letters like O and Q and a lively modulation through S and C. The lowercase shows a traditional, text-oriented construction with a double-storey a and g, rounded dots on i/j, and tapered entry/exit strokes that keep joins from feeling blunt. Numerals follow the same contrast and terminal logic, with elegant curves and narrow hairline connections in places.

It fits long-form editorial work such as books, essays, and magazine layouts where a classic serif voice is desired and the contrast can be appreciated. It also performs well for sophisticated headlines, pull quotes, and formal printed materials like invitations or programs, where its tapered terminals and strong rhythm can act as a stylistic signature.

The overall tone is traditional and literary, with a slightly dramatic, old-style elegance that reads as refined rather than austere. Its tapered terminals and strong contrast add a hint of theatricality, making it feel suited to established institutions and classic print culture.

The design appears intended to deliver a conventional, readable serif foundation while adding character through pronounced contrast and expressive, tapered terminals. It aims to balance traditional proportions with a slightly ornamental finishing, offering a familiar text-serif structure with a more distinctive, display-friendly surface.

At display sizes, the sharp hairlines and small internal details (especially in letters like e, s, and the numerals) become a defining feature, while the bold main strokes keep the texture assertive. The design’s distinctive terminal shapes create strong word silhouettes and a recognizable texture in running text.
