A high-contrast serif with crisp hairlines and sturdy vertical stems, producing a distinctly formal rhythm on the page. Serifs are finely bracketed and neatly finished, with pointed terminals and tapered joins that echo broad-nib calligraphy. Capitals are proportioned with a traditional, bookish structure—wide rounds, carefully modulated curves, and confident diagonals—while lowercase shows compact bowls and clear counters for sustained reading. Numerals share the same sharp modulation and classic proportions, keeping the overall texture clean and controlled.

Well-suited to book typography, magazine layouts, and other editorial settings where a refined serif texture is desired. It also works effectively for display roles such as headlines, pull quotes, and titling in cultural or luxury-adjacent design, where the high contrast can be used for dramatic emphasis.

The font conveys an editorial, elevated tone—polished and serious rather than casual. Its sharp contrast and precise finishing suggest tradition and craft, lending a sense of authority and sophistication that feels at home in classic publishing contexts.

The design appears intended to deliver a traditional reading experience with a more polished, high-contrast finish—balancing classic proportions with sharper detailing for a contemporary editorial feel.

In longer text, the strong thick–thin modulation creates a lively shimmer, especially at larger sizes where the hairlines and brackets become more prominent. The letterforms maintain a disciplined, conventional structure, with consistent spacing and a restrained, formal presence.
