A slanted serif with pronounced thick–thin modulation and crisp, bracketed serifs that taper into wedge-like terminals. Curves are full and energetic, with compact counters and a slightly condensed inner rhythm that keeps strokes feeling dense despite the generous set width. The italic construction shows calligraphic influence in the lowercase, with single-storey forms, angled entry/exit strokes, and occasional ball terminals. Numerals follow the same slanted, high-contrast pattern, reading like oldstyle-influenced forms with varying widths and lively diagonals.

This face performs best in display and editorial roles such as magazine headlines, book jackets, pull quotes, and branded statements where its slanted momentum and contrast can be appreciated. It can also serve for short passages or lead-ins when paired with adequate size and spacing, especially in print-oriented layouts that benefit from a classic serif voice.

The overall tone is traditional and literary, but with a dramatic, forward-leaning energy. It feels confident and somewhat theatrical—well suited to making text sound authoritative while still retaining warmth and motion.

The design appears intended to deliver a conventional serif foundation with an italic-led, calligraphic bite—combining formal structure with expressive stroke endings. It aims to provide a distinctive, high-impact italic for titles and emphasis while maintaining a recognizably traditional serif texture.

Capitals appear sturdy and sculpted, with strong horizontals and sharply cut serif details that stay consistent across the set. The lowercase shows a more handwritten cadence, creating a clear hierarchy between caps and text. In larger sizes the sharp joins and tapered serifs become a defining texture; in smaller sizes the dense contrast and tight counters will read best with comfortable spacing and line height.
