This serif features strong thick–thin modulation with crisp hairlines and bracketed, tapered serifs. Uppercase forms are stately and open, with broad curves and controlled, vertical stress; the capital O and C read round and spacious while stems stay firm and straight. The lowercase shows a relatively small x-height with compact, traditional proportions, and maintains a steady rhythm through clear counters and tidy joins. Numerals and punctuation follow the same disciplined contrast, giving text a clean, high-definition texture at display and comfortable text sizes when set with appropriate leading.

Well suited to long-form book and journal typography, as well as magazine layouts where a traditional serif is expected. The high-contrast construction also makes it effective for headlines, pull quotes, and refined promotional materials such as invitations or cultural programs, especially when paired with generous spacing.

The overall tone is classical and bookish, suggesting established tradition rather than novelty. Its sharp contrast and restrained detailing lend a formal, cultivated voice suited to serious editorial settings. The impression is refined and authoritative without becoming ornamental.

The font appears designed as a conventional text serif with a polished, traditional voice, prioritizing legibility through familiar proportions while adding sophistication via pronounced contrast and crisp serif treatment. It aims to deliver an editorial, authoritative texture that scales comfortably from reading sizes to display settings.

The design keeps ornamentation minimal, relying on contrast, careful serif shaping, and consistent curvature for character. Round letters and diagonals (notably in V/W/Y and the italic-like movement in some lowercase terminals) create a lively but controlled calligraphic undercurrent that helps large sizes feel elegant rather than rigid.
