A crisp, high-contrast serif with slender hairlines and firm, tapered stems. Serifs are bracketed and relatively fine, creating a traditional text rhythm with pronounced thick–thin transitions and vertical stress. Proportions are compact and space-efficient, with narrow capitals and similarly condensed lowercase, while counters remain open enough for continuous reading. Curves are smooth and controlled, terminals tend toward sharp or lightly tapered finishes, and numerals follow the same elegant, old-style-inflected modulation.

Well suited to book typography and long-form editorial layouts where a traditional serif texture is desired. It also performs strongly in magazine headlines, pull quotes, and formal collateral where compact width helps fit more text into limited space while keeping a cultured tone.

The overall tone is classic and literary, projecting authority and polish without feeling ornamental. Its sharp contrast and disciplined proportions give it a formal, editorial voice suited to serious content and established brands.

The design appears intended to deliver a conventional, print-forward serif voice with a refined thick–thin signature and space-saving proportions. It balances traditional detailing with a clean, controlled draw to stay versatile across text and display roles.

At larger sizes the delicate hairlines and tight internal spacing read as particularly refined, while at smaller sizes the contrast and thin connections will reward careful setting (generous size/leading and thoughtful color) to maintain clarity.
