A slanted serif with an oldstyle, calligraphy-led construction and gently bracketed serifs. Strokes show clear modulation with smooth thick-to-thin transitions, giving letters a lively, handwritten rhythm while remaining clean and typographic. Capitals are relatively narrow and upright in structure but set on an italic axis, with sharp terminals and tapered joins that keep counters open. Lowercase forms are compact and fluid, with a single-storey a and g and softly curving entry/exit strokes; figures lean with the text and include an oldstyle-style 0 with a diagonal stress.

Well suited for italic roles in long-form reading—book interiors, magazines, and academic or literary editorial design—where it can carry emphasis, quotations, and citations with clarity. It can also serve effectively in refined subheads, pull quotes, and formal invitations when a classic italic tone is desired.

The overall tone feels traditional and bookish, with a poised, cultivated voice associated with literary publishing and classical correspondence. Its italic movement adds warmth and emphasis without becoming decorative, lending a refined and slightly romantic character.

The design appears intended as a conventional text companion italic, prioritizing comfortable reading texture and traditional serif cues while preserving a graceful, calligraphic flow for emphasis and hierarchy.

The italic angle is consistent across cases and numerals, producing a continuous forward motion in text. Serifs stay understated rather than heavy, and the modulation reads smoothly at paragraph scale, supporting an even texture with subtle sparkle in the thin strokes.
