This typeface is a serif with subtly flared stems and gently bracketed serifs that broaden into the stroke endings rather than terminating abruptly. Curves are smooth and moderately open, with round forms (C, O, Q) showing even, controlled modulation and ample interior space. The capitals feel stately and stable, with crisp apexes on A and V/W, and a traditional, well-balanced E/F structure. Lowercase forms are conventional and readable, featuring a two-storey a and g, a compact ear on g, and a tidy, lightly curved shoulder on n/h. Numerals follow an old-style influenced rhythm with soft curves and consistent serif treatment, maintaining the same calm, bookish color as the letters.

It suits long-form reading such as books, essays, and editorial layouts where a stable, traditional serif texture is desirable. The distinctive flared finishing also makes it effective for tasteful branding, cultural institutions, and formal materials like invitations or programs, especially at display and subhead sizes where the terminals can be appreciated.

The overall tone is classic and composed, suggesting authority without feeling rigid. Its flared, slightly calligraphic finishing adds a touch of warmth and tradition, making it feel at home in text-heavy, cultured contexts. The impression is refined and literary rather than flashy or decorative.

The design appears intended to deliver a timeless serif voice with a slightly calligraphic, flared accent—prioritizing legibility and a composed page color while adding a refined, humanistic finish at the stroke endings.

Stroke endings and joins carry much of the character: verticals broaden subtly toward the terminals, and serifs sit with gentle bracketing that keeps edges from looking overly sharp. The texture in paragraph setting appears even and steady, supporting comfortable continuous reading while still giving headings a dignified presence.
