This serif presents a traditional, high-contrast structure with pronounced thick–thin modulation and crisp, bracketed serifs. Capitals are stately and relatively narrow with sharp apexes and clean horizontal terminals, while lowercase forms keep a steady rhythm and moderate x-height. Curves are smooth and controlled, with slightly tapered joins and subtle calligraphic influence in shapes like the two-storey “g” and the ear on “g,” plus a gently angled tail on “Q.” Numerals include oldstyle figures that sit with the lowercase, reinforcing a text-oriented, bookish texture.

Well-suited to book typography, editorial pages, and magazine layouts where a classic serif voice is desired. It can serve as a strong text face for comfortable long-form reading, and it also scales effectively for headlines and display lines that benefit from its crisp contrast and formal proportions.

The overall tone is classical and cultivated, evoking printed literature, editorial authority, and a measured elegance. Its high contrast and tidy detailing give it a refined, formal presence without feeling ornate.

The design appears intended to deliver a conventional, literary serif with a familiar print heritage—balancing readability and elegance through controlled contrast, bracketed serifs, and disciplined proportions.

In paragraph settings the face reads with a bright, lightly sparkling texture due to the contrast and relatively thin hairlines. Larger sizes emphasize the sharp serifs and delicate terminals, making it especially well-suited to typographic work where detail can be appreciated.
