A sculpted serif with pronounced contrast and a distinctly flared, calligraphic construction. Stems swell and taper into sharp, wedge-like terminals, producing lively ink-trap-like notches and angular joins, while the overall rhythm stays measured and upright. Capitals feel stately and slightly condensed with crisp apexes (notably in A, V, W, Y), and round letters show tight internal curves and decisive thick–thin transitions. Lowercase forms lean oldstyle in flavor, with compact bowls, a single-storey g, a pointed, descending j, and small, strongly defined serifs that add a crisp, engraved texture in text.

Best suited to headlines, deck copy, and editorial typography where its sharp flares and contrast can be appreciated at medium to large sizes. It also fits book covers, cultural posters, and brand marks that benefit from a classic serif voice with added bite and sculptural detail.

The typeface conveys an editorial, literary confidence—formal and classic, yet with a dramatic sharpness that reads as contemporary when set large. Its flared endings and high-contrast strokes add a refined, slightly theatrical tone suited to premium branding and headline settings.

The design appears intended to modernize a classic, calligraphic serif model by emphasizing flared terminals, crisp wedge details, and high-contrast modulation—creating a distinctive, premium look that stands out in display and editorial contexts.

Figures appear lining with sturdy vertical stress and clear contrast, pairing well with the strong caps. The overall texture is dark and assertive, with distinctive wedge terminals and bracketed transitions that give words a carved, display-forward presence.
