This serif features a right-leaning italic structure with pronounced contrast and strongly tapered, calligraphic strokes. Serifs read as wedge-like and often bracketed, with sharp entry points and swelling curves that give counters a lively, sculpted feel. The rhythm is energetic rather than rigid: rounds are slightly egg-shaped, stems vary noticeably in thickness, and many joins resolve into teardrop-like terminals. Capitals feel sturdy and compact with assertive diagonals, while the lowercase shows fluid movement and distinctive italic forms (notably in a, f, g, and y). Numerals share the same sculpted contrast and angled stress, maintaining a cohesive texture in running text.

Well-suited to editorial typography where a strong italic texture is desirable—magazine features, pull quotes, and section openers. It can also carry book-cover titles and cultural or fashion branding that benefits from classic serif authority with added motion. At larger sizes it becomes especially effective for headlines and posters, where the sharp wedges and tapered details can be appreciated.

The overall tone is traditional and literary with a confident, expressive italic voice. It feels suited to refined, old-world typography—authoritative but not cold—adding drama and momentum to lines of text. The heavy contrast and sharp detailing give it a slightly theatrical, display-leaning presence even when set as text.

The design appears intended to deliver a classic serif voice with heightened italic expressiveness—combining traditional proportions and wedge-like serifs with energetic stroke modulation to create a bold, attention-holding texture. It prioritizes personality and rhythm over neutrality, aiming to stand out in display and editorial roles while retaining a conventional serif foundation.

Letterfit appears moderately tight, and the italic slant is consistent across cases, which reinforces a continuous, forward-driven texture. The design favors crisp silhouettes and pointed terminals over softness, so it reads best when printing or rendering can preserve fine hairlines and sharp corners.
