A heavy, condensed display face with blackletter-derived construction and a hand-cut, calligraphic rhythm. Strokes show medium contrast with many wedge-like terminals and sharp, faceted joins that create a chiseled silhouette. Counters are compact and often pinched, while verticals dominate and the baseline presence is firm and dark. The lowercase keeps a compact x-height with tight apertures and occasional asymmetry, and the numerals follow the same carved, wedge-terminal logic for a consistent texture.

Best suited to short, high-impact settings such as posters, display headlines, title cards, and branding marks that benefit from a gothic/heritage voice. It can also work well on packaging or labels where a handcrafted, old-world tone is desired, especially at larger sizes and with careful tracking.

The overall tone feels medieval and gothic, with a dramatic, slightly mischievous storybook energy rather than strict liturgical formality. Its dense black color and angular detailing evoke folklore, tavern signage, fantasy titles, and old-world proclamations.

The design appears intended to deliver a bold blackletter impression with a more hand-drawn, approachable edge—prioritizing characterful silhouettes and strong texture over strict historical replication. Its condensed proportions and wedge terminals aim to create immediate period atmosphere and visual punch in display typography.

Texture is intentionally uneven in a human-made way: stems and bowls vary subtly in width, and several glyphs show distinctive, knife-cut corners and hooked terminals that add character at larger sizes. The font reads best when allowed generous size and spacing so the interior counters don’t close up.
