A high-contrast serif with an engraved inline treatment running through most strokes, creating a hollowed, ornamental look. Letterforms are narrow-to-moderate in proportion with lively, slightly irregular curves and tapered terminals that echo pen- and engraving-like construction. Serifs are sharp and bracketed in places, while bowls and diagonals show pronounced thick–thin modulation; many glyphs include inner striping that follows the stroke direction, reinforcing the carved effect. Lowercase forms are compact with a notably small x-height, and the overall rhythm mixes crisp vertical stems with playful, flourished details in characters like g, y, Q, and ampersand.

Best suited to display settings where the inline engraving can be appreciated—headlines, posters, book and album covers, boutique branding, and packaging. It also works well for invitations, menus, and pull quotes when set with generous size and spacing to preserve the delicate interior lines.

The inline carving and sharp contrast give the face a vintage, showcard elegance reminiscent of engraved signage and old-style titling. Its decorative striping adds a touch of whimsy and theatricality, making text feel curated and crafted rather than purely utilitarian. Overall, it reads as classic and slightly eccentric, balancing refinement with expressive character.

The design appears intended to evoke an engraved, letterpress-era aesthetic by combining high-contrast serif structure with a carved inline highlight. Its compact lowercase and ornamental terminals suggest a focus on expressive titling and atmospheric text rather than extended small-size reading.

The inline details are prominent and can visually fill in at smaller sizes, while the spiky terminals and deep notches become striking at display scale. Numerals and capitals carry the same engraved motif, helping headings and short phrases maintain a consistent, ornamental texture.
