A heavy, high-contrast serif with broad proportions and a distinctly sculpted, display-forward construction. Stems are thick and assertive while hairlines thin sharply, creating pronounced vertical emphasis and crisp internal rhythm. Serifs are bracketed with pointed, wedge-like terminals and occasional ball/teardrop finishes, and several joins show carved, ink-trap-like notches that add bite and texture. The lowercase features a two-storey a, a double-storey g with a large ear, and small, round i/j dots; counters are relatively tight, helping the type hold dark color in text while remaining articulate at larger sizes.

Best suited to headlines and short blocks of text where its high contrast and sharp terminals can read clearly and add personality. It works well for magazine typography, book covers, cultural posters, and brand marks that want a classic serif voice with extra drama and texture.

The overall tone is bold and theatrical with a classic, editorial sensibility. Its sharp terminals and carved details give it an energetic, slightly baroque flavor that feels confident and attention-seeking rather than quiet or utilitarian.

This design appears intended to deliver a traditional serif foundation with amplified contrast and sculptural detailing for strong display impact. The carved joins and pointed terminals suggest an aim to evoke engraved or cut-letter character while maintaining familiar text-serif letterforms.

The figures follow the same chiseled logic as the letters, with strong contrast and distinctive curves; the 2 and 3 are especially stylized, and the 4 has an open, angled form. The uppercase Q includes a prominent tail, and many characters show subtle asymmetries that enhance the hand-cut, engraved impression.
