A serif text face with compact proportions and sturdy, low-contrast strokes, rendered with deliberately roughened edges and slightly irregular outlines. Serifs are small and blocky, with soft, inky terminals that look worn or stamped rather than crisply engraved. Rounds (C, O, e) feel gently squared-off and uneven, while vertical stems stay firm and consistent, giving the design a steady rhythm despite the distressed texture. Numerals are simple and workmanlike, matching the same printed, weathered finish.

Well suited to display and short-to-medium text where a vintage, printed texture is desirable—book covers, posters, album art, and editorial headings. It can also support branding and packaging that benefits from a crafted or archival aesthetic, especially when paired with plain sans typography for contrast.

The overall tone is analog and timeworn, evoking printed matter produced under imperfect conditions—ink spread, aged plates, or rough paper. It reads as practical and literary with a hint of grit, suggesting archival documents, pulp covers, or workshop labeling rather than polished corporate typography.

The design appears intended to capture the look of worn letterpress or typewriter-era printing while retaining the structure and readability of a traditional serif. Its goal is to provide a dependable text voice with a built-in distressed patina for atmospheric typography.

Texture is integrated into the letterforms rather than applied as a separate effect, so the distressed character remains visible even at text sizes. The irregularity appears consistent across the set, helping paragraphs hold together while still conveying an intentionally imperfect, human-made feel.
