A refined serif with pronounced thick–thin modulation and crisp, bracketed serifs. Stems are sturdy while hairlines taper to fine points, creating a bright, high-contrast texture in text. Curves are smoothly drawn with a slightly calligraphic stress, and terminals tend toward sharp, wedge-like finishes rather than blunt cuts. Uppercase proportions feel stately and structured, while lowercase forms remain compact and readable, with clear counters and a traditional two-storey construction where expected (notably in the “g”). Numerals follow the same high-contrast logic, with elegant curves and narrow joins that keep the set cohesive.

This face is well suited to editorial design where a classic, high-contrast serif can carry authority—magazine features, book jackets, section openers, and pull quotes. It also works effectively for formal branding and printed materials such as invitations, programs, and certificates, especially at display sizes where its sharp hairlines and sculpted serifs can be appreciated.

The overall tone is polished and traditional, evoking book typography and established publishing aesthetics. Its sharp detailing and high contrast give it a dressed-up, premium voice suited to serious or ceremonial messaging rather than casual utility.

The design appears intended to deliver a conventional, high-contrast serif voice with a refined, print-centric finish—balancing traditional letterforms with crisp detailing for strong headline presence and polished editorial tone.

In the sample text, the strong contrast produces a lively rhythm and a distinctly “printed” look, with punctuation and thin joins appearing delicate next to heavy verticals. At larger sizes the fine hairlines and pointed serifs read as particularly crisp, emphasizing sophistication and formality.
