This serif typeface shows pronounced thick–thin contrast with a mostly vertical axis and crisp, bracketed serifs. Capitals are stately and relatively wide, with sharp apexes and clean, straight-sided stems; round letters (C, O, Q) have smooth curves and fine hairlines that stay controlled rather than overly delicate. Lowercase forms are compact and traditional, with a double-storey a, a two-storey g, and a narrow, straight f; the ear and beak-like terminals on letters such as a, c, and r are sharp and neatly cut. Figures align with the text style, mixing strong verticals with tapered curves (notably in 2, 3, and 5), and the overall rhythm is even and print-oriented.

Well-suited to long-form editorial and book typography, where its classic proportions and clear serif structure support comfortable reading. It also performs strongly in headlines, pull quotes, and section titles, where the contrast and sharp finishing details provide a confident, polished voice.

The tone is classic and bookish, with an authoritative, editorial presence. Its high-contrast detailing and disciplined construction read as refined and formal, lending a sense of tradition and credibility without appearing ornamental.

The design appears intended as a conventional, high-contrast text serif that balances traditional book typography cues with crisp, modern finishing. It aims to deliver a dependable, formal reading experience while offering enough contrast and detail to add typographic character in display settings.

In the sample text, the font holds together well at larger sizes, where the hairlines and serifs add texture and a distinctly typographic color. The design favors clarity and elegance over softness, with terminals and joins that remain crisp and slightly sharp.
