A robust serif with a noticeable rightward slant and rounded, bracketed serifs that soften the overall texture. Strokes show moderate contrast with gently tapered terminals and slightly swelling curves, giving the letters an inked, calligraphic feel rather than a sharply constructed one. Proportions are lively and somewhat variable, with wide rounds (notably O/Q) and compact interior counters that stay open at text sizes. The lowercase is rhythmically italicized with single-storey forms (a, g) and a flowing ‘f’ and ‘j’, while capitals remain sturdy and slightly condensed in their internal spacing, producing a dense, print-like color on the page.

Well-suited to editorial layouts, book typography, and long-form reading where a strong italic voice is needed for emphasis. It also works effectively for headings, pull quotes, and display lines that benefit from a traditional, print-forward serif with substantial weight and color.

The tone is classic and bookish, with a warm, slightly old-fashioned italic energy that suggests traditional publishing and editorial typography. Its heavy presence reads confident and authoritative, while the rounded serifs and softened joins keep it approachable rather than formal or austere.

The design appears intended to deliver a classic text-serif feel with an assertive italic stance, combining traditional bracketed serifs and calligraphic modulation to create a warm, confident reading texture that can also carry display emphasis.

Numbers and capitals share the same sturdy, inked character, with curved terminals and soft joins that maintain a consistent dark texture. The slant is pronounced enough to feel emphatic in headings, yet the forms retain conventional proportions that keep paragraphs readable and familiar.
