This serif has sharply defined, bracketed wedge serifs and pronounced thick–thin modulation, giving the forms a crisp, engraved feel. Capitals are broad and stately with clear vertical stress and clean, tapered terminals, while round letters keep open counters and smooth curves. Lowercase shows a compact, readable rhythm with sturdy stems, pronounced entry/exit strokes, and a two-storey a and g; numerals align with the same high-contrast, slightly flared detailing. Overall spacing reads even and deliberate, supporting a refined, print-oriented texture at text and display sizes.

Well-suited to long-form reading in books and essays where a classic serif texture is desired, and it also performs strongly for magazine/editorial headlines and subheads. The pronounced contrast and crisp serifs make it effective for formal collateral such as programs, invitations, and institutional print materials.

The tone is traditional and confident, evoking book typography, editorial headlines, and institutional communications. Its high-contrast strokes and sharp serifs lend a sense of ceremony and authority without feeling ornate.

The design appears intended as a conventional, classical serif with heightened contrast and crisp wedge serifs, balancing readability with a polished, authoritative presence for editorial and book-oriented settings.

Details like the strong diagonal strokes in V/W/Y, the crisp beaks and spurs, and the distinctly serifed figures contribute to a sculpted, classical presence. At larger sizes the sharp terminals and modulation become especially prominent, enhancing the dramatic typographic color.
