A high-contrast serif with crisp hairlines and strong vertical stems, showing clear thick–thin modulation across both roman capitals and lowercase. Serifs are bracketed and slightly flared, with tapered terminals that give the strokes a subtly calligraphic, engraved feel. Proportions are generous with wide-set capitals and open counters, while curves (C, G, O) read smooth and controlled. The lowercase maintains a steady rhythm with rounded bowls and a compact, sturdy presence, and the numerals follow the same contrast pattern with prominent serifs and clear, old-style-like shaping cues.

Well-suited to book and long-form editorial typography where a classic serif voice is desired, especially at comfortable reading sizes. It also performs convincingly for magazine headings, pull quotes, and brand wordmarks that benefit from a refined, traditional register and strong typographic character.

The overall tone is traditional and cultivated, leaning toward bookish elegance rather than minimal modernism. Its contrast and sculpted detailing suggest a confident, authoritative voice suited to polished, established brands and editorial environments.

The design appears intended to deliver a conventional, literary serif tone with visible craftsmanship—balancing crisp contrast and bracketed serifs to evoke traditional print typography while remaining clear in continuous reading.

In text, the face presents a pronounced color contrast between stems and hairlines, giving paragraphs a slightly sparkling texture. Uppercase forms feel particularly ceremonial and spacious, while the lowercase stays readable through open apertures and clearly differentiated shapes (notably in g, a, and e).
