This is a serif italic with a traditional, oldstyle flavor: gently bracketed serifs, tapered terminals, and a flowing, calligraphic stroke that keeps the texture lively without becoming swashy. Curves show subtle diagonal stress, and many letters finish with soft hooks or flicked terminals (notably in the lowercase). Proportions are compact with a relatively small x-height and clear ascender presence; capitals are stately and open, while the lowercase is more animated and cursive-leaning. Numerals follow the same humanist rhythm, with rounded forms and understated stroke modulation that stays consistent across the set.

Well suited to book and editorial typography, especially for italics in long-form text, pull quotes, and classical titling where a traditional serif voice is desired. It can also work in refined branding and packaging where a familiar, literary tone and graceful italic motion help convey craft and heritage.

The overall tone feels literary and cultivated, like a traditional book italic used for emphasis rather than display. Its movement and slight irregularities read as warm and human, lending an elegant, editorial character rather than a sharp or modern one.

The design appears intended as a conventional text serif italic with a humanist, calligraphy-informed construction—optimized to deliver clear emphasis and a comfortable, bookish texture while retaining enough character to stand out in display sizes.

Italic forms are pronounced but controlled, producing a smooth reading line and a gently varied rhythm. The ampersand is especially expressive, and the lowercases show distinctive entry/exit strokes that can add personality in headlines while remaining suitable for continuous text.
