A high-contrast serif with strongly modulated strokes and crisp hairlines that sharpen into bracketed wedge serifs. The letterforms show a sculpted, calligraphic influence: round glyphs like O and C have pronounced thick–thin transitions, while diagonals in V/W/X taper to fine terminals. Curves are smooth and slightly generous, counters stay open, and the lowercase uses traditional forms (double-storey a, single-storey g) with sturdy vertical stems and delicate connecting strokes. Numerals follow the same contrast and serif treatment, with clear, old-style-influenced shapes and elegant terminal details.

Well-suited to editorial environments such as books, long-form articles, and magazine layouts where a classic serif voice is desirable. It also performs convincingly in display contexts—headlines, pull quotes, and refined branding—where its sharp contrast and sculpted serifs can be appreciated.

The overall tone is bookish and established, evoking traditional print typography and careful editorial composition. Its sharp hairlines and refined serifs lend a sense of authority and ceremony, while the broad, steady rhythm keeps it readable and composed rather than flamboyant.

The design appears intended to deliver a traditional text-serif impression with heightened refinement: an established, print-forward voice combining conventional proportions with crisp, high-contrast detailing for a confident editorial presence.

In text, the strong stroke contrast creates a lively texture, with hairlines contributing sparkle and the heavier verticals anchoring lines. At larger sizes the fine terminals and bracketing become a defining detail; at smaller sizes the design reads as a conventional, polished serif with a distinctly crisp finish.
