A sharply faceted blackletter with dense, broken strokes and pointed terminals. Letterforms are built from straight-to-slightly curved segments with abrupt angle changes, creating a chiseled texture and strong internal rhythm. Strokes show pronounced thick–thin modulation, with crisp joins and wedge-like serifs that feel cut rather than brushed. Capitals are tall and prominent with ornamental notches and compressed counters, while the lowercase maintains a compact, vertical cadence; bowls and shoulders are narrow and angular, and round forms (like O/0) retain a polygonal, engraved feel. Numerals follow the same carved, high-contrast construction and sit firmly on the baseline.

Best suited for display settings such as posters, titling, book or album covers, packaging accents, and thematic branding where a medieval or gothic atmosphere is desired. It can also work for short ceremonial lines—certificates, invitations, labels, or chapter openers—where its dense texture and ornate construction can be given ample size and whitespace.

The overall tone is historical and ceremonial, evoking manuscript traditions, proclamations, and heraldic display. Its dramatic contrast and fractured structure read as authoritative and old-world, with a dark, imposing color on the page that suggests tradition and gravitas.

The design appears intended to recreate a traditional Gothic manuscript look with engraved, angular construction and strong thick–thin contrast. It prioritizes historical character and visual authority over unobtrusive long-reading comfort, aiming to deliver an unmistakable period tone in display typography.

In text, the tight spacing and intricate interior shapes create a strong black texture that can become visually busy at smaller sizes. The capitals carry much of the personality and can dominate a line, making careful sizing and tracking important for balanced typography.
