A heavy, slab-serif design with broad, squared terminals and clearly bracketed joins into the stems. Strokes show noticeable contrast, with thick verticals and slightly tapered or thinner connecting strokes, while the slabs remain weighty and stable. Counters are relatively tight and the overall color is dense, producing strong texture in paragraph settings. The lowercase has short-to-moderate ascenders and descenders with sturdy, rectangular serifs; the a is double-storey and the g is single-storey, both drawn with compact bowls. Numerals are bold and emphatic, with squared feet and strong horizontals that echo the serif structure.

Best suited to display roles such as headlines, poster copy, mastheads, and bold pull quotes where its slabs and contrast can read crisply. It also works well for packaging and signage that benefits from a sturdy, traditional voice and strong legibility at a distance.

The tone is confident and no-nonsense, with a workmanlike solidity that reads as traditional and authoritative. Its dense rhythm and strong slabs evoke editorial headlines, classic signage, and robust print ephemera rather than delicate or minimalist settings.

The design appears intended to deliver maximum impact through heavy slabs, compact proportions, and controlled contrast, offering a classic print-forward look that remains stable and readable under bold settings.

At large sizes the bracketed slabs and tight apertures create a distinctive, punchy silhouette; in longer text the heavy typographic color and compact counters can feel intense, favoring spacious leading and moderate line lengths. Rounded forms like C, O, and S keep a subtle softness in the curves, balancing the otherwise blocky construction.
