A sturdy serif with pronounced flared terminals and bracketed, wedge-like serifs that broaden out from the stems. The color is dense and even, with confident verticals, slightly tapered joins, and moderate stroke modulation that reads as subtly calligraphic rather than sharply Didone. Counters are compact but open enough to stay legible, and the lowercase shows classic serif text proportions with a two-storey a and g, a firm, ball-topped j, and a q with a distinctive descending tail. Numerals are robust and old-style in spirit, maintaining the same tapered, flaring finish and steady rhythm as the letters.

Well suited for editorial design, book jackets, magazine headlines, and display pull quotes where a traditional serif voice with added terminal character is desirable. It can also serve for short-form text settings—introductions, captions, or lead paragraphs—when a darker, more emphatic page color is appropriate.

The overall tone is classic and editorial, evoking printed tradition, authority, and a slightly bookish warmth. Its flared endings add a crafted, humanist touch that softens the heft and keeps it from feeling purely mechanical.

The design appears intended to combine the familiarity of classic serif typography with more expressive, flared stroke endings to increase presence and brandability. It aims for readability and structure first, while using tapered terminals and firm serifs to add a distinctive, crafted finish.

Capital forms are broad and dignified, with stable horizontals and clear serif articulation that helps word shapes lock together in text. The sample paragraphs show strong paragraph color and comfortable readability at larger text sizes, while the distinctive terminals give headlines a recognizable personality without becoming ornate.
