A heavy, high-contrast serif with pronounced thick–thin modulation and sharply defined wedge-like serifs. The letterforms are broad and firmly structured, with compact interior counters and a strong, even baseline presence. Serifs are generally bracketed and tapered, with several characters showing rounded/ball-like terminals (notably in lowercase and the figures), giving the weight a slightly sculpted, ink-trap-adjacent feel without appearing distressed. Numerals are similarly robust and curvy, with emphatic endpoints and clear figure shapes that hold up at large sizes.

Best suited to headlines, mastheads, posters, and title typography where its bold presence and contrast can be appreciated. It also works for book covers and branding that call for a traditional serif voice with strong emphasis, while extended small-size body text may require generous spacing to maintain clarity.

The font conveys a classic, institutional tone with a bold, headline-forward confidence. Its strong contrast and broad proportions create a theatrical, old-style editorial feel—serious and traditional, but with enough curvature in terminals to add warmth and character.

The design appears aimed at delivering a conventional serif reading voice scaled up for impact—pairing traditional structures with amplified weight and contrast for attention-grabbing editorial and display use.

In text settings the dense weight and tight counters create a dark typographic color, which increases impact but reduces airiness in longer passages. The mix of crisp serifs and rounded terminals gives it a distinctive rhythm that reads especially well in short blocks and prominent typography.
