A sturdy serif with prominent, bracketed slab serifs and a confident, bookish rhythm. Strokes show noticeable thick–thin modulation, with heavier verticals and firmer horizontal feet and caps, producing a grounded texture in text. Curves are generously rounded and often end in soft, slightly bulbous terminals (notably on letters like a, c, f, and y), while joins and shoulders feel smooth rather than sharp. Overall proportions read spacious, with open counters and broad letterforms that keep word shapes clear even at larger display sizes.

Well suited to editorial design such as magazines, essays, and book typography where a strong serif voice and comfortable long-form texture are desired. It also performs well in headlines, pull quotes, and institutional communications that benefit from a credible, traditional tone.

The tone is traditional and authoritative, with a friendly softness that keeps it from feeling severe. It evokes printed editorial typography—reliable, learned, and slightly old-style—suited to content that wants to feel established and credible.

The design appears intended to blend classical serif familiarity with reinforced slabs for presence and durability, balancing readability with a distinctive, robust silhouette. It aims for an editorial workhorse character—comfortable in continuous text while still carrying enough personality for titling.

The numerals appear sturdy and highly readable, matching the serif treatment and contrast of the letters. Uppercase forms are stately and stable, while the lowercase shows more warmth through rounded terminals and lively descenders, creating a pleasant, legible color in paragraphs.
