This italic serif shows a disciplined, bookish structure with gently bracketed serifs and a consistent rightward slant. Strokes move from tapered entry/exit terminals into firmer stems, giving a modest calligraphic feel without becoming swashy. Capitals are narrow and upright in silhouette despite the slant, with crisp, wedge-like serifs and smooth curves in letters like C, O, and Q. Lowercase forms are compact and readable, with an oval, slightly angled stress and clear differentiation between similar shapes; the numerals follow the same italic rhythm and include oldstyle-like curves in figures such as 2 and 3.

Well-suited for book and long-form editorial typography where an italic is needed for emphasis, titles, or quotations. It can also support academic and cultural materials—program notes, essays, and catalogs—where a classic, restrained italic serif is expected.

The tone is traditional and composed, evoking printed literature, editorial seriousness, and a quiet elegance. Its italic voice feels purposeful rather than decorative, suggesting emphasis, citation, and cultivated formality.

The design appears intended as a conventional, dependable italic companion for text settings, prioritizing clarity and continuity of rhythm while retaining subtle calligraphic nuance. It aims to provide a familiar, authoritative italic voice that integrates smoothly in reading environments.

Spacing appears even and text color stays steady across lines, supporting continuous reading. The italic construction is clean and controlled, with terminals that add character while remaining restrained, helping it sit comfortably alongside conventional roman text in a typographic system.
