This is an italic serif with a smooth, calligraphic construction and gently bracketed serifs. Strokes show a clear diagonal stress with moderated contrast, keeping the texture even while still feeling lively. Capitals are slightly narrow and elegantly inclined, with tapered terminals and subtle entry/exit strokes that soften joins. Lowercase forms are fluid and rhythmic, with single-storey a and g, a curved descender on y, and a lively f whose ascender and crossbar feel pen-informed rather than geometric. Numerals are lining and italic, with open counters and graceful curves that match the text style.

It works well for extended reading in books and long-form editorial layouts where an italic voice is needed for emphasis, quotations, or introductory matter. The graceful caps and expressive punctuation also make it suitable for refined invitations, program notes, and other formal materials that benefit from a classical italic texture.

The overall tone is cultivated and literary: traditional without stiffness, and expressive without becoming decorative. The italic angle and pen-like detailing add a sense of motion and personal voice, giving text a refined, human cadence suited to narrative and editorial contexts.

The design appears intended to provide a readable, traditional italic with a distinctly handwritten cadence—balancing classic serif conventions with pen-derived movement for expressive typographic emphasis in text settings.

Spacing appears comfortable for continuous reading, and the italic forms maintain clarity through open apertures and restrained detailing. The capital Q features a prominent sweeping tail, and the ampersand is notably cursive, reinforcing the calligraphic emphasis within an otherwise conventional text-serif framework.
