This typeface uses a blackletter-inspired skeleton with simplified, sturdy stems and pointed wedge terminals. The outlines are heavily distressed: edges look chipped and torn, with irregular notches and burrs that create a rough, ink-worn silhouette. Forms are mostly upright with moderate stroke modulation and compact counters, producing dense lettershapes that read as carved or weathered rather than smooth. The rhythm is lively and uneven at the contour level (due to the distress), while the underlying proportions remain fairly consistent across the alphabet.

Best suited to short display settings where texture and atmosphere are more important than pristine clarity—titles, headers, logos, packaging, and event collateral for horror or dark-fantasy themes. It can also work for pull quotes or chapter openers when set large with generous spacing to prevent the distressed edges from filling in.

The overall tone is eerie and theatrical, evoking old broadsides, cursed manuscripts, and haunted signage. Its ragged texture and thorny terminals add menace and urgency, making even neutral text feel sinister and timeworn.

The design appears intended to deliver a blackletter-leaning display voice with an aggressively distressed surface, combining historical gothic cues with a gritty, horror-ready texture for instant mood-setting impact.

Capitals have strong, display-oriented presence with sharp interior angles and occasional hooked details, while lowercase keeps a pared-back blackletter flavor for shorter lines of text. The distress is substantial enough to create a built-in texture field, especially noticeable in rounded letters and at joins where the outline breaks into small bites and spikes.
