This serif shows a calligraphic, right-leaning construction with pronounced thick–thin contrast and crisp hairlines. Serifs are small and bracketed, with tapered terminals that give many strokes a gently sharpened, pen-cut feel. The lowercase is lively and slightly irregular in rhythm, with narrow joins and rounded counters; ascenders rise prominently and the italics include flowing forms such as a single-storey a and a looped, descending g. Numerals follow the same italic, high-contrast logic, with open curves and delicate finishing strokes.

It works especially well for editorial typography—books, long-form articles, magazine features, and literary titles—where an italic voice is needed for emphasis or atmosphere. The high-contrast detailing and tapered serifs also make it appropriate for pull quotes, intros, and refined headings when set at comfortable sizes with adequate leading.

The overall tone is cultivated and traditional, with an old-style, bookish elegance. Its italic energy adds a sense of motion and sophistication, reading as refined rather than casual, and well suited to expressive but disciplined typography.

The design appears intended as a conventional text serif with an expressive italic character: preserving classic proportions while leveraging calligraphic modulation and crisp finishing to create a polished reading texture. It aims to deliver a cultured, traditional tone for narrative and editorial settings without becoming ornamental.

Letterforms prioritize grace over rigidity: diagonals and curves feel slightly springy, and spacing appears tuned for text rather than display tightness. The italic structure is consistent across caps, lowercase, and figures, helping paragraphs maintain a cohesive, flowing texture.
