A robust text serif with strongly bracketed serifs and pronounced thick–thin modulation. Stems are weighty and vertical, while joins and serifs show softened, calligraphic transitions rather than sharp, mechanical cuts. Capitals are broad and steady with confident proportions; many terminals show subtle beaks and small ball-like endings, especially in the lowercase. The lowercase is compact and readable, with rounded bowls, a single-storey “g,” a curling “y” descender, and a “t” with a distinct, wedge-like top. Numerals are substantial and evenly weighted, matching the text color of the letters.

Well suited for editorial headlines, magazine typography, and book-cover titling where a classic serif voice is desired. It can also serve for short-to-medium text blocks, pull quotes, and formal communications that benefit from a dense, traditional typographic color.

The font conveys a traditional, bookish tone with a firm, authoritative presence. Its strong contrast and generous serif structure give it a slightly ceremonial, old-style warmth while still feeling orderly and conventional for text-forward work.

The design appears intended as a conventional, readable serif with extra heft and contrast for strong presence in print-like settings. It balances traditional serif detailing with sturdy proportions to deliver both character and clarity in prominent text.

In paragraphs, it produces a dark, even texture with clear word shapes and a steady rhythm, aided by the pronounced serifs and open counters. The sample shows it holding up well at display-to-subhead sizes, where the bracketed serifs and terminal details become more characterful.
