A heavy, high-contrast serif with pronounced thick–thin modulation and sharply cut, wedge-like terminals. Serifs are bracketed and often flare into pointed or beak-like ends, giving strokes a sculpted, chiseled feel. The design is compact in its internal counters and joins, with a strong vertical axis and taut curves that create dense, dark text color at display sizes. Numerals and capitals carry broad, stable shapes, while lowercase forms stay sturdy and compact with teardrop-like apertures and distinctly carved terminals.

Best suited to headlines, cover lines, and other display applications where its contrast and carved terminals can be appreciated. It can also work for branding and packaging that needs a traditional, premium tone, and for short editorial subheads where dense texture is a feature rather than a liability.

The overall tone is bold and editorial, projecting authority and drama with a slightly vintage, print-forward character. Its sharp terminals and deep contrast read as refined yet forceful, lending a serious, headline-driven mood rather than a casual or understated one.

The design appears intended to deliver classic serif credibility with amplified contrast and emphatic terminals, optimizing for impact and presence in large sizes. Its compact counters and tight rhythm suggest a focus on bold, print-like texture and a distinctly sculptural silhouette.

Spacing appears on the tighter side in the sample text, amplifying a solid typographic “block” and making the face feel intentionally weighty. The angular cuts on diagonals (notably in letters like K, V, W, X, and Y) add energy and a subtly calligraphic sharpness without introducing slant.
