This serif italic shows pronounced thick–thin modulation with a clear diagonal stress and crisp, bracketed serifs that often resolve into wedge-like terminals. Capitals are relatively compact with sharp apexes and tapered joins, while the lowercase has lively, calligraphic movement, including a single-storey italic “a,” a looped descender on “g,” and long, flowing entry and exit strokes on letters like “f,” “j,” and “y.” Numerals follow the same high-contrast, slanted rhythm, with elegant curves and pointed terminals that read as text figures rather than purely geometric forms. Overall spacing and rhythm feel designed for continuous reading, with a consistent slant and carefully controlled contrast across the set.

Well-suited to editorial layouts, long-form book typography, and magazine settings where an expressive italic is needed for emphasis, quotes, and subheads. It also fits refined branding and formal printed materials such as invitations and programs, especially at display and text sizes where the contrast and tapered serifs can be appreciated.

The tone is polished and literary, with a distinctly classic, bookish elegance. Its energetic italics add a sense of motion and emphasis while maintaining a composed, traditional voice suited to sophisticated typography.

The design appears intended as a conventional, readable serif italic with elevated contrast and calligraphic nuance, balancing traditional proportions with an expressive slanted rhythm for refined text and editorial use.

The italics exhibit generous stroke tapering and sharp, knife-like ends on many terminals, giving the face a crisp sparkle at larger sizes. Curved letters such as C, O, and Q show smooth, tensioned bowls, and the Q’s tail is notably sweeping, reinforcing the formal, expressive character.
