This is an italic serif with a traditional, book-oriented construction and gently bracketed serifs. Strokes show a moderate thick–thin rhythm with smooth transitions and tapered terminals, producing a crisp, slightly calligraphic texture in text. The capitals are relatively upright in presence but still slanted, with broad, open counters and carefully shaped curves; the lowercase is more fluid, with single-storey forms and angled entry/exit strokes that emphasize forward motion. Proportions feel balanced and conventional, aiming for even color across lines while retaining the liveliness typical of true italics.

It works especially well for book and magazine typography where an italic companion is needed for emphasis, quotations, names, and titles. The moderate contrast and conventional proportions make it appropriate for longer passages at text sizes, while the refined serif detailing also supports pull quotes and formal headings when set with enough size and leading.

The overall tone is classical and literary, suggesting editorial polish and quiet authority rather than exuberance. Its italic energy reads expressive but controlled, suitable for conveying emphasis with sophistication.

The design appears intended as a conventional text-serif italic that blends seamlessly into serious reading environments while providing a distinct, elegant emphasis. Its controlled contrast and traditional letterforms prioritize continuity, readability, and a familiar editorial voice.

The numerals and capitals appear designed to harmonize with the italic angle, keeping spacing and rhythm consistent in running text. Curves and joins are smooth and confident, and the italics maintain readability through generous counters and clear internal shapes.
