This is a slanted serif with pronounced thick–thin modulation and a distinctly calligraphic, slightly diagonal stress. Serifs are bracketed and taper smoothly into stems, with crisp terminals and a rhythmic, flowing texture across words. Capitals are relatively broad with sculpted curves (notably in C, G, O, Q), while lowercase shows traditional, bookish forms with clear extenders and a compact, gently rounded bowl structure. Numerals follow the same high-contrast logic, mixing sturdy verticals with sharp, tapered finishing strokes for a cohesive page color.

It suits editorial typography such as magazines, book interiors, essays, and pull quotes where a traditional serif voice with added elegance is desired. It can also work well for formal branding, headlines, and invitations, especially when paired with a more restrained roman or a clean sans for hierarchy.

The overall tone is refined and literary, projecting a classical, editorial voice rather than a neutral utilitarian one. Its energetic slant and crisp contrast add sophistication and a sense of motion, making text feel formal and considered.

The design appears intended to deliver a conventional text-serif foundation enriched with a more expressive, calligraphic italic character. Its aim is readability with a polished, high-end texture suitable for cultured, print-like settings.

Stroke joins and bracketing are handled smoothly, which helps long passages retain an even rhythm despite the strong contrast. The italic construction reads as true italic rather than merely obliqued, with noticeably cursive influences in the lowercase shapes.
