A poised slab-serif with bracketed, slightly flared serifs and a gently rounded, calligraphic feel in the joins. Strokes stay fairly even while curves show subtle modulation, producing a steady color on the page without looking mechanical. Proportions are traditional: capitals are stately and open, lowercase has moderate ascenders and descenders, and counters remain generous for readability. The italics are absent in the sample; the shown roman includes distinctive oldstyle numerals with pronounced bowls and curled terminals on figures like 6 and 9.

Well-suited to long-form reading in books, essays, and editorial layouts where a stable rhythm and clear counters matter. It can also serve in institutional or cultural branding, packaging copy, and report typography when a classic slab-serif voice is desired.

The overall tone is measured and literary, pairing a dependable, workmanlike structure with small humanist softening. It feels familiar and cultivated rather than loud, lending a sense of credibility and restraint.

The design appears intended as a practical, readable slab serif for continuous text, blending traditional proportions with subtle detailing to keep pages comfortable and engaging. Its restrained personality suggests an aim for versatility across serious, content-forward settings rather than display-driven novelty.

Several glyphs show small ink-trap-like notches or interior cut-ins (notably in C, G, and S), which adds texture and helps keep shapes crisp at text sizes. Round forms (O/Q/0) are clean and upright, and punctuation and spacing in the sample text read evenly in paragraphs.
