A robust slab-serif with broad, rectangular serifs and gently bracketed joins that soften the transitions into stems. Stroke contrast is present but restrained, keeping letterforms solid and even in texture. Counters are open and generously proportioned, while curves (C, O, S) are smooth and steady rather than sharp or mannered. The lowercase shows familiar, text-oriented shapes with a double-storey a and a single-storey g, and the numerals are clear and evenly weighted with strong baseline presence.

Well-suited to editorial typography where a confident slab-serif texture is desired, from magazine layouts to book interiors at moderate sizes. The strong serifs and clear figures also make it effective for headings, pull quotes, posters, and other display applications that benefit from a sturdy, traditional presence.

The overall tone is dependable and traditional, with a composed, editorial voice. Its sturdy slabs and measured contrast suggest authority and clarity without feeling decorative, giving it a pragmatic, bookish character.

The design appears intended to provide a readable, workmanlike slab-serif for general-purpose publishing, balancing robust serifs with restrained contrast to maintain clarity in continuous text while still offering strong character in larger settings.

Serifs are consistently rectangular and substantial across capitals, lowercase, and figures, creating a firm horizontal rhythm. Spacing appears comfortable in running text, supporting a stable color on the page and clear differentiation between similar forms.
