A high-contrast italic serif with an oldstyle, calligraphic construction and crisp, bracketed serifs. Strokes show pronounced thick–thin modulation with tapered joins and sharply cut terminals, producing a lively diagonal rhythm. Proportions feel generous with a relatively open set and a slightly variable, hand-driven width across letters. Lowercase forms include traditional italic features such as a single-storey a and g, a flowing f with a long descender, and a z with a distinctive swash-like tail; figures appear lining and slanted, matching the text’s forward motion.

Well-suited to editorial typography, book and magazine applications, and other settings where an elegant italic voice is needed. It works especially well for headlines, subheads, pull quotes, and short-to-medium passages where its contrast and motion can be appreciated without overwhelming readability.

The overall tone is classic and literary, with an editorial polish that reads as refined rather than decorative. Its energetic slant and crisp contrast add a sense of sophistication and momentum, lending a slightly old-world, bookish character to headlines and emphasized text.

The design appears intended as a classic italic companion with a distinctly calligraphic flavor, balancing traditional serif conventions with a more expressive, energetic rhythm. It aims to provide a refined, authoritative tone while remaining versatile for everyday editorial and formal communication.

The italic angle is assertive, and the strong contrast creates bright counters and sharp inner apertures. Several letters show expressive entry/exit strokes (notably in the lowercase and the Q), which adds personality while keeping the style anchored in conventional serif traditions.
