A condensed serif with strongly flared, wedge-like terminals and a pronounced vertical emphasis. Strokes taper into sharp, triangular serifs rather than bracketed book serifs, producing an incised, display-oriented texture. Curves are narrow and controlled, with tight counters and occasional teardrop-like joins, while horizontals and crossbars stay short and crisp. Overall rhythm is compact and tall, with a lively mix of straight stems and pinched bowls that reads more sculpted than calligraphic.

Best suited to display settings where a compact, high-impact voice is needed: poster headlines, event and theatre promotions, striking packaging fronts, and title treatments on book or album covers. It can also work for short brand marks or mastheads where the condensed width helps fit long names into tight spaces.

The font projects a theatrical, vintage tone—part showbill, part Victorian headline—with a slightly exotic, gothic-leaning flavor. Its compressed proportions and sharp flares add drama and urgency, making even simple text feel staged and attention-seeking.

The design appears intended to deliver maximum presence in narrow horizontal space by combining condensed proportions with sculptural, flared serifs. Its unusual serif construction and tightened counters prioritize character and period flavor over neutral body-text readability.

Several letters show distinctive, stylized constructions (notably in curved forms), creating a decorative consistency across caps, lowercase, and figures. Numerals follow the same tall, narrow stance and sharp terminal treatment, helping headings and mixed alphanumeric settings keep a unified color.
