This serif face shows gently flared, wedge-like stroke endings that broaden into the terminals, paired with subtle bracketing rather than blunt slabs. Strokes have a moderated contrast and a slightly calligraphic modulation, giving curves (C, O, S) a smooth, drawn rhythm. Proportions are balanced and readable, with open apertures and rounded bowls; the lowercase has a traditional, bookish build with a two-storey a and g, a compact, well-contained e, and a curved-shoulder r. Numerals are lining and proportioned to sit comfortably alongside capitals, with round forms staying even and the 7 and 1 remaining crisp and uncluttered.

Well-suited to book interiors, long-form reading, and editorial layouts where a traditional serif with a touch of warmth is desired. It also works effectively for headings, captions, and formal communications where a refined, classical impression supports the content.

The overall tone is composed and cultivated, with a quiet sense of tradition. The flared endings add a subtle warmth and tactile, pen-like character, lending the font a dignified, literary voice rather than a purely mechanical one.

The design appears intended to blend traditional serif readability with a more tactile, humanist finish. By using flared terminals and controlled contrast, it aims to feel literary and timeless while remaining clean and practical in continuous text.

In text, the rhythm stays steady and the letterforms maintain clarity at paragraph scale, helped by open counters and restrained detailing. The distinctive flare at terminals is noticeable without becoming decorative, giving headings and pull quotes a slightly engraved, classical presence.
