A refined serif with pronounced stroke contrast and a clean, upright posture. Serifs are bracketed and subtly flared, with tapered joins that give the strokes a chiseled, calligraphic finish rather than blunt slabs. Capitals show wide, open bowls and crisp apexes, while curves (C, G, O, Q) maintain smooth, controlled modulation and a predominantly vertical stress. Lowercase forms are compact and neatly fitted, with a two-storey a and g, a narrow, straight-shouldered r, and a relatively tall ascender rhythm that reads crisp and formal in text. Numerals follow the same high-contrast logic, mixing straight stems with delicately tapered curves for an old-style, bookish feel.

Well suited to editorial typography such as magazine features, book jackets, and refined long-form settings where a crisp, classical texture is desired. It also performs strongly for headlines, pull quotes, and brand wordmarks that want a premium, heritage-leaning voice without feeling overly ornamental.

The overall tone is polished and literary, balancing tradition with a slightly sharpened, contemporary edge. The high-contrast rhythm and flared finishing strokes convey sophistication and authority, making it feel at home in premium, editorial contexts.

The design appears intended to deliver a modernized classical serif: strong contrast and traditional proportions paired with subtly flared, sharpened details for elegance and clarity across both display and reading sizes.

Spacing appears even and text color stays consistent despite the strong contrast, helped by open counters and disciplined curve shaping. The diagonal letters (V, W, X, Y) carry thin connecting strokes and pointed terminals that add sparkle at larger sizes, while remaining controlled in paragraph settings.
