This is an italic serif with a fluid, right-leaning construction and crisp, bracketed serifs. Strokes show a clear pen-like logic: tapered entry and exit strokes, gently modulated thick–thin transitions, and rounded curves that stay smooth at text sizes. Capitals are narrow and slightly swept, with long, graceful diagonals (notably in V/W/X) and a classical, open-bowled C/G. The lowercase is compact and rhythmic with a traditional double-story a and g, a gently curved f, and a lively, slightly looped y and z; numerals follow the same calligraphic slant with soft terminals and strong baseline presence.

Well suited to editorial layouts, book typography, and long-form reading where an italic companion is needed for emphasis, quotations, or citations. It can also serve effectively in refined subheads and brand applications that want a classic, literary tone without overt ornament.

The overall tone is traditional and cultivated, with an editorial polish that feels at home in book and magazine typography. Its italic voice reads expressive but controlled—more literary and rhetorical than decorative—adding emphasis with elegance rather than exuberance.

The design appears intended as a dependable, conventional italic serif for text work—prioritizing readable rhythm, classical proportions, and a disciplined calligraphic character that adds emphasis gracefully.

In continuous text the design maintains an even texture, with consistent slant and steady spacing that supports comfortable reading. The italics avoid extreme swashes, keeping forms restrained and conventional while still showing distinct pen-angled terminals and nuanced curves.
