A classic serif with sharply bracketed serifs, tapered terminals, and clearly modulated strokes that create a crisp light–dark rhythm. Capitals are stately and open, with a slightly calligraphic feel in the curves and joins rather than purely geometric construction. Lowercase shows lively, ink-trap–free detailing with soft, angled stress and distinct entry/exit strokes; curves feel gently swelling and then thinning into fine terminals. The figures include oldstyle forms that blend into running text, reinforcing a bookish texture and a traditional typographic color.

Well-suited to long-form reading such as books, essays, and magazines where a traditional serif texture is desired. It also works for editorial headlines, pull quotes, and cultural or institutional branding that benefits from a classical, authoritative tone. The oldstyle numerals make it especially appropriate for running text with dates, measurements, or references.

The overall tone is literary and composed, suggesting tradition and careful craft rather than novelty. Its contrast and sharp serifs give it a refined, editorial voice that reads as formal without becoming austere. The slight calligraphic inflection adds warmth and a hint of historical character.

The design appears intended to deliver a conventional, time-tested reading experience with a touch of calligraphic elegance. Its high-contrast modulation and bracketed serifs aim for clarity and refinement in both paragraph settings and larger typographic moments.

In the sample text, the font maintains a steady rhythm with clear word shapes, while the strong contrast and fine details become more pronounced at larger sizes. Italic is not shown, but the roman has enough movement in its forms to feel lively in paragraphs and display lines alike. Numerals and capitals sit confidently for titling, while the oldstyle digits make it particularly comfortable in continuous text.
