A bold, high-contrast serif with pronounced bracketed wedge serifs and softly flared stroke endings. The letterforms show an oldstyle, calligraphic influence: rounded bowls, lively joins, and frequent ball-like terminals that give counters a sculpted, ink-trap-like bite without looking strictly mechanical. Proportions are slightly condensed in places with a variable rhythm across characters, and the overall texture is dark and punchy with clear thick–thin modulation. Numerals follow the same curvy, serifed construction, with open apertures and strong, tapered terminals for a cohesive set.

Best suited to headlines, magazine display, book and album covers, posters, and brand marks that want a classic serif voice with extra character. It can also work for short pull quotes or section openers where a dark, authoritative texture is desirable.

The tone feels classic and literary, with a dramatic, slightly eccentric warmth. It evokes traditional printing and editorial typography, but with enough personality in the terminals and curves to read as distinctive rather than purely conservative.

The design appears intended to merge traditional, oldstyle-inspired serif construction with bolder, more theatrical contrast and distinctive terminals, creating a display serif that feels both familiar and individual.

The face emphasizes strong silhouettes and clear entry/exit strokes, which helps large sizes look energetic and crafted. At smaller sizes the heavy weight and sharp contrast can create dense color, so spacing and size choice will strongly affect readability.
