A distressed serif with high-contrast strokes and a noticeably irregular, worn outline. The letterforms show rough, nib-like modulation with sharp terminals and occasional flared serifs, as if printed from a weathered plate or written with a dry brush pen. Counters and curves are uneven, with small nicks and texture interruptions that create a lively, slightly unstable rhythm. Capitals are prominent and decorative, while the lowercase has a short x-height and a compact, old-style feel; numerals follow the same rugged, ink-bitten character.

Best suited to display settings such as posters, title treatments, book and game covers, and themed packaging where the worn texture can be appreciated. It also works well for short excerpts, pull quotes, and signage that aims for an antique or unsettling mood, while long body text is more effective at larger sizes with generous spacing.

The texture and broken edges evoke age, folklore, and atmospheric darkness—suggesting hand-printed broadsides, haunted ephemera, or fantasy props. It reads as dramatic and characterful rather than clean or modern, with a playful menace that fits macabre or adventurous themes.

The design appears intended to merge an old-style serif structure with deliberate erosion and ink instability, creating the impression of aged printing or distressed calligraphy. The goal is expressive atmosphere—an instantly themed voice that prioritizes character and texture over neutrality.

The distress pattern is consistent across the set, but each glyph retains enough individuality that repeated letters feel organic and imperfect. At larger sizes the rugged contour becomes a feature; at smaller sizes the bite marks and narrow joins can visually thicken and add noise, especially in dense text.
