This typeface is a high-contrast italic serif with sharply modulated strokes, thin hairlines, and a pronounced slanted axis. Serifs are fine and pointed with a delicate, engraved feel, while curves show clear diagonal stress and tapered terminals. Capitals are relatively narrow and poised, with crisp joins and careful balance between thick verticals and filament-like horizontals. Lowercase forms are fluid and calligraphic, with long ascenders/descenders, a single-storey “g,” and an italic “f” and “j” that extend distinctly below the baseline; figures follow the same elegant contrast and slanted rhythm.

Well suited to magazine headlines, pull quotes, and refined branding where an italic voice is desired. It also fits invitations, programs, and book or chapter titling, especially in larger sizes where the hairlines and sharp serifs can be appreciated.

The overall tone is sophisticated and formal, combining a literary, bookish sensibility with the polished glamour often associated with editorial typography. Its lively italic movement adds a sense of speed and flourish without becoming overly ornamental.

The design intent reads as a contemporary take on a classical italic serif: to deliver an expressive, high-end typographic color with calligraphic elegance, optimized for impactful display and refined emphasis rather than utilitarian body text.

Spacing appears open enough for display and short text, and the extreme contrast makes the thins visually sensitive at smaller sizes or on low-resolution outputs. The italic construction is consistent across letters and numerals, giving mixed-case settings a cohesive, continuous texture.
