A classic text serif with bracketed serifs and gently modulated strokes. The forms show humanist influence: round letters are softly drawn, joins are smooth, and terminals tend toward subtly tapered, calligraphic endings rather than sharp cuts. Proportions feel balanced and readable, with moderate apertures in letters like C, S, e, and a, and a steady, even rhythm in continuous text. Numerals appear oldstyle, with varied heights and a more bookish texture than lining figures.

Well suited to extended reading in books, essays, and editorial layouts where an even text color and familiar serif structure help maintain clarity. It can also serve comfortably in headlines and subheads when a traditional, cultivated voice is desired without excessive contrast or ornament.

The overall tone is traditional and book-centered, giving an editorial, literary feel. Its restrained details and smooth rhythm convey refinement without sounding decorative, making it feel dependable and quietly formal.

The design appears intended as a conventional, highly readable serif for general-purpose typography, prioritizing a smooth text rhythm and familiar letterforms. Subtle humanist shaping and oldstyle numerals suggest an emphasis on comfortable, literary composition over display-driven styling.

Uppercase shapes keep a dignified, classical stance (notably the broad curves of O/Q and the restrained, slightly sculpted diagonals in K/V/W/Y). In the lowercase, single-storey a and g and a modest, slightly curved ear on g contribute to an approachable, humanist texture. Spacing appears comfortable and even in the paragraph sample, supporting long-form reading.
