A compact serif with strong vertical emphasis, crisp triangular/bracketed serifs, and pronounced thick–thin modulation. Curves are tightly drawn and slightly faceted, giving bowls and terminals a carved, almost chiseled feel rather than a purely smooth transitional rhythm. Joins and corners often pinch into narrow apertures, and several letters show wedge-like entries and exits that create a sharp, assertive texture. Lowercase forms stay relatively compact with a steady x-height and sturdy stems; numerals follow the same sculpted logic, with distinctive angled strokes and pointed terminals that read clearly at display sizes.

Best used where a forceful serif voice is desired—magazine headers, book covers, poster titles, and packaging that benefits from a traditional yet dramatic tone. It can work for short text passages when ample size and spacing are available, but it naturally excels in display typography where its sharp details and contrast remain legible.

The overall tone is formal and assertive, with a historic, print-forward presence that feels suited to serious or ceremonial messaging. Its sharp wedges and compact rhythm add drama and a slightly Gothic/blackletter-adjacent severity without becoming overtly decorative.

The design appears intended to blend conventional serif structure with a more carved, wedge-driven detailing, producing a compact, high-impact texture that stands out in editorial and title use. It prioritizes strong presence and recognizable letterforms over neutrality, aiming for a classic, authoritative voice with added edge.

In text settings the dense color and tight interior counters can build a dark, emphatic paragraph texture, while the angular terminals and pinched apertures add character in headlines. The most striking impression comes from the repeated wedge motifs and the deliberately sculpted curves across both upper- and lowercase.
