A high-contrast italic serif with sharp, tapered serifs and pronounced thick–thin modulation. Strokes show a strong diagonal stress and a crisp, engraved feel, with hairline terminals that finish in pointed, slightly swept forms. Capitals are narrow and upright in proportion but consistently slanted, while lowercase forms are fluid and calligraphic, with compact bowls and energetic entry/exit strokes. Numerals and punctuation follow the same sharp, angled rhythm, keeping a cohesive, polished texture in running text.

Well-suited to editorial typography such as magazine features, pull quotes, and book or chapter titles where a refined italic voice is needed. It also works effectively for formal messaging—event invitations, certificates, and branding accents—particularly at display and subhead sizes where its contrast and sharp details can shine.

The overall tone is cultured and traditional, conveying a sense of editorial authority and classical sophistication. Its lively italic movement and razor-like details add a dramatic, expressive edge while remaining distinctly formal.

The design appears intended to provide a classic, high-contrast italic companion for traditional serif typography, offering a dignified yet expressive tone for emphasis in text and for elegant display settings.

At larger sizes the delicate hairlines and pointed terminals read especially clean and luxurious, while at smaller sizes the strong contrast and tight shapes can create a more sparkling, busy texture. The italic angle is consistent and gives text a forward, dynamic cadence without becoming overly cursive.
