A lightly built serif with slab-like, bracketed serifs and mostly even stroke weight, producing a steady, monoline texture. Stems are straight and vertical, with gently rounded joins and slightly softened corners that keep the letterforms from feeling mechanical. Proportions are compact and texty, with moderate apertures and open counters; the lowercase shows a two-storey “a,” looped “g,” and a lightly curved “t” that adds a subtle handwritten cadence. Overall spacing reads a touch tight, creating a dense, rhythmic color well suited to continuous text.

Works well for book and editorial typography where a classic serif voice is desired without heavy contrast. It can also support pull quotes, captions, and packaging copy that benefits from a nostalgic, printed feel. At larger sizes, the gentle quirks and slabby serifs become more expressive for headings or short statements.

The font conveys a vintage, typewriter-adjacent tone—practical and literary, with a mild eccentricity in its curves and serif shaping. It feels familiar and archival rather than sleek, suggesting printed pages, notes, and editorial matter. The slight irregularities in contour keep the mood human and approachable.

The design appears intended to blend dependable text readability with a modest typewriter/print-era personality. Its even stroke weight and sturdy serifs aim for stable rendering, while softened terminals and slightly idiosyncratic curves add warmth and distinction in running copy.

Capitals have a restrained, traditional structure with sturdy serifs that help anchor lines, while numerals are clear and straightforward with old-style warmth in their curves. The “Q” features a prominent tail, and several letters show subtly asymmetric detailing that adds character without disrupting readability.
